Ragan Thomson: Hello. Hello. Hello everyone. Good day. Good day. Good day to you. How are you today? How’s it going? How are you feeling? Let’s all take a moment, and take some deep breaths please just to get centered right now, and not during this time together. You don’t need to close your eyes, but if you can, that’d be wonderful. Closing your eyes, if possible. Placing your hands over your heart. Just take a big deep breath with me right now. Letting it on the out-breath with an out-breath sound. Ahh. Couple more. Ahh. Once more. Really let it go. Ahh. Excellent. Thank you so much. Thank you so much for joining me today. Oh yeah. How are you feeling? Check in with yourself right now. You might’ve been moving already quickly today, so you might not have really checked in with yourself.

Ragan Thomson: What’s coming forward right now as you ask yourself that question? “How am I feeling?” You might hear the answer “calm” or “relaxed”, or you might hear the answer “a little stressed and anxious” or “scared” or “afraid.” Whatever it is. Just once again, as you know, I really like to do this check in. Allow yourself to feel that. Gosh. That in itself just gives yourself such a break, right? Just like, whew, just take a load off. Just relax. Ahh. If you’re feeling that stress in your body, where do you feel the stress? If there’s stress or some sort of uncomfortable energy, check your body, scan your body right now. Is it more in your head, or your throat, or could it be in your chest, or is it in your stomach?

Ragan Thomson: Where do you find this stress, this tension, that you might be feeling? I want you take a deep breath into this area of your body. Ahh. Once more. Ahh. That helps to loosen up the energy. I want you to get in touch with that part of your body now. If you haven’t found a part of your body with tension, then just work with the feeling that you had come up. If that feeling or that tension wanted to speak to you right now, and say anything that it wanted to say, what would it say? It’s like a message, right? There’s a message it has for you. What’s the message? And just saying to that energy, that message, “I hear you. I thank you for sharing.”

Ragan Thomson: Just ask what that feeling, or that message, or that energy wants from you to help you, or wants basically to help you, but as well what it wants help with. Right? Helps you by you getting help, giving help to it. It’s a beautiful circle of help going on there. What does it need authentically? Perhaps it’s saying “compassion”, or “love”, or “care”, or “support”, or wants you to just relax more. Can you give that to this energy right now? Can you say “yes” to whatever it’s asking? Perhaps you can make a commitment to this energy that you’re going to be doing that after this call today and for the days coming.

Ragan Thomson: We’re doing some good grounding work here right now. Just getting you into your body, calming your spirit down. Really important, right? Thanking that energy for coming forward. Thanking yourself right now. Honoring yourself for being present with this energy. Very good. Thank you. Take a deep breath. Ahh. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I’m going to talk to you today about something that is just really cool and profound. I just defined it. I just had the most magical last days with my family, a reunion of maybe about 10 people together traveling for the summer, family members. I had the most blissful, and magical time in alignment with my true self.

Ragan Thomson: What does that mean? How did that happen for me? Every day getting better, and better, and better, and better, and lighter, and brighter. I’m telling you, this is not the way it used to be when I hung out with my family. How many of you out there sometimes are like, “Okay. Yeah. I’m going to spend time with my family. I’m really excited about it. Oh shoot. That’s not as exciting as I thought it was going to be. I’m actually really triggered by this right now.” Right? Why does that happen? What happens to us? Well, let me tell you what usually used to happen to me, which is this.

Ragan Thomson: I used to be with my family, and let their energy zap me. Right? Their energy, what they’re feeling, what they’re going through, their stories, their energies. I literally gave in to the energy of what they’re going through, kind of emphatically picking up on what they’re putting down, and what energy they’re holding, and I just absorb it. Right? A lot of us are empaths out there. That’s one way that we move out of alignment with ourselves. Another way is we give over our energy to others. Right? They’re suffering. They need us. Right? So we just start helping, and giving, and fixing, and at the end of the day, the ego’s over there, I promise you, saying, “Oh, that’s a good thing to do because what that means is you’re helping them, so that means you’re going to be safe. Once they’re helped, then you’ll be safe.”

Ragan Thomson: Well, guess what the ego not telling you, which is the true story that is the truth, is that when you do that, when you do the giving, giving, giving, fixing, fixing, trying, trying, all this, whatever you’re doing with these people, you’re actually becoming more and more depleted, more tired. In fact, you might even feel like when the end of the day comes that you’re just exhausted. You’re like, “Why do I feel like this?” I was just working with a client on this recently. She spent some time with her family, and she felt it. She said, “Gosh, Ragan, do you have any ideas about how I can get back into alignment? I’m so emotionally drained.”

Ragan Thomson: In the meantime, she’s thinking, “These are my family. I love these people. Why is this happening? I really love these people. I just want to love them, and enjoy myself.” Well, guess what? A lot of you probably are going to be spending some time with friends and family this summer. This is us. This is what we get to do as the divine beings we are. Most of us have chosen to forget. I’m talking about on this planet. A lot of people have chosen to forget who they truly are. Right? They’re just living like the hamster on the hamster wheel. Just getting up, routine, go, go, go. Well, we don’t have to do that anymore. We get to decide how we want to manage our energy, who we want to spend time with, and for how much time we want to spend time with them, and what we’re going to do with ourselves, with our bodies and our spirits.

Ragan Thomson: When some old energy comes up, how we’re going to process it, how we’re going to be with ourselves. When I was on my trip, I was very gentle with myself with energies that were coming up. I immediately went inward. I took the time to process it. I was on an island where it’s very activating. It’s a very intense activating energy. I was on the island of Kauai in Hawaii, and the island is amazingly beautiful, but it’s also very activating. It’s divine feminine in its finest form, and it brings up a lot of emotional energy. It’s kind of like paradise can only be felt when paradise is felt within, and I’m aware of that because I’ve been going to that island for a very long time. Many times. It’s like another home for me in Kauai.

Ragan Thomson: Yes, it’s a big, big work to start to really get in touch with this part of ourselves, or parts of ourselves that so often sacrifices ourselves when we’re on a trip with family or when we’re even with family or friends and just not on a trip wherever. Right? We give our energy over to them. We’re like, “Oh, here you go. Take my energy. I’ve got a lot of light to give. I’m the fixer. I’m the helper. You seem to be suffering.” Well, no. This is not serving. What serving is, for you to fill yourself up with this inner work. Right? To become lighter and brighter. Let go of all, any of the habits, or vices, or addictions, and do your best to refrain from those, and say “no”.

Ragan Thomson: Stand in your energy center and say, “You know what? Today I’m going to be gentle, loving with myself. If any of my energy comes up, I’m going to go within. I’m going to work with it,” like you just did at the beginning of this audio. How good did that feel? Right? That was a simple little exercise I led you through to do that connecting with yourself, and checking in with yourself. I bet you feel lighter already from doing that. You could do that with yourself any time of any point of any day. You can just go into your car. Let’s say you’re with your family, or your friends, and you feel this energy coming up. You can feel yourself starting to fix. You can excuse yourself to the bathroom, or into your car. Go outside for a few minutes, and do this work.

Ragan Thomson: Another practice I want to recommend is holding your hands over your heart, and just saying your name. I’d say, “Ragan, I’m right here with you. I see you. I feel you. I love you. What do we need right now? What can I do for you?” You might even say something like, “I can see you’re starting to give away your energy to other people right now. You’re starting to get a little drained. You think you’re fixing, you’re helping. The ego’s saying, ‘Oh, that’s good. Yeah look, you’re a good person.’ Meanwhile, you’re getting drained. You know what’s starting to happen. It’s happened 101 times.” Right? We all know this so well. Right? Especially as Lightworkers, those who are a little more sensitive beings. I can’t imagine anyone who’s on this audio today is not a sensitive Lightworker. It’s just what I attract at this point.

Ragan Thomson: So yeah, let’s take that breath. Moment to moment connecting with yourself, connecting with yourself in these interactions with people. This is what helps you become more in alignment with yourself, with your true self. The reason why I got more blissful as the days went by, I connected more and more with myself every day. I didn’t let the ego take me on a ride. I didn’t let the mind take me on a ride for more than a few seconds at any given time. I just watched myself magically feel lighter and brighter. To your friends and family that is listening, “You are a soul. You are not your feelings. You are not your emotions. You are not your body.” That is a beautiful mantra to say out loud continuously if you remember this one. I’d write it down if you don’t know it already.

Ragan Thomson: “I am the soul. I am not my feelings. I am not my emotions. I am not my body.” You can say that any time the mind starts to take you on a little ride because sometimes all we need to do is revert it. Right? Some of us feel like we need to psychologically process it. Sometimes there might be a need to connect with your higher self, as well as bring maybe your inner child in. Your inner child might be really seeking some attention. Your shadow might be really seeking attention. You’ll know. Right? The more we do this work, we start to get more in touch with these different parts of ourselves.
